ROUND 1- Mt Taylor MTB
October 4/5, 2025
Mountain Biking East Gippsland will be hosting Round 1 of the Victorian Downhill Series (VDHS) at Mt Taylor on the weekend of 4/5 October 2024.
This year marks a huge milestone, 20 years of the Victorian Downhill Series, and Mt Taylor is proud to be part of the celebration. With its fast lines, technical descents, and supportive local crew, Mt Taylor promises a round full of excitement and good vibes. Whether you’re chasing podiums or just soaking up the stoke, this race is more than just a run down the hill, it’s a tribute to two decades of grit, progression, and community. Let’s make this one count. Bring your speed, bring your mates, and let’s send it for the 20th anniversary of VDHS.
From the club’s perspective, this event presents a valuable opportunity to generate much-needed funds, which will directly support our ability to reinvest in meaningful projects and developments across the community. Ensuring the smooth and successful running of the event is a crucial step in driving the club forward and strengthening our impact both on and off the trails.

VOLUNTEERING:
We’d love your help to make this event a success! There are a number of volunteer shifts to fill across the weekend — from Shuttle Drivers and Track Marshalls to Parking Attendants and General Helpers, it’s going to be a busy few days.
To make things easier, we’ve split most roles into half-day shifts so everyone can pitch in and still enjoy the event. If you’re keen and available, feel free to sign up for more than one shift, every bit of help makes a difference.
Please click the link below to register as a volunteer. We truly appreciate your support and would love to have you on board for this one!
These little videos from Auscycling will give you a little insight to what it’s like to volunteer at these events as a general volunteer or track marshall.
Further information about specific roles will be distributed to all volunteers who sign up prior to the event.
If you have any questions or require any help in signing up to volunteer, please contact Melissa at secretary@mtbeg.com.au
This event is proudly supported by the East Gippsland Shire Council.
