MTBEG - Mountain Biking East Gippsland
This is an opportunity to get to know the trails at Mt Taylor, build your technique on the skills parks and meet the mountain bike community that ride out there. Club members will be present on the day to answer any questions, offer suggestions on what tracks to ride and guide you around the mountain.
Sam and Rosie will be offering a women’s only social ride on the Southern Cross track, this is a cross-country loop with a nice mix of ascent and descents. Come along if you would like to give mountain biking a try. Sam and Rosie will ensure the session accommodates all attending riders so need to worry about your skill level!
This ride is for individuals of all ages who identify as female. To take part in this event you will need to be a financial member of Mountain Biking East Gippsland. At lunchtime enjoy a sausage sizzle and socialise with the mountain bike community.
Program for the day at Mt Taylor:
10am – Get to know the tracks & Social Ride
11am – Women’s Social Ride on the Southern Cross Track
1pm – Sausage Sizzle Lunch
2pm – Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting will also be held at 2:00pm. This will be an opportunity to reflect on the past year of mountain biking in East Gippsland and to set the Club up for another year working for our members. With some current committee members looking to step back from Committee roles, the Club is looking to appoint new enthusiastic and committed people to contribute to building the mountain biking community in East Gippsland.
If you have an interest in supporting the Club and skills that would support the work that we are doing, then we’d encourage you to consider getting involved. All Committee roles will be vacated on the day in accordance with the Rules of Incorporation, and we will be looking to fill the following positions:
If you are interested in a role, know someone who is interested or if you would like some more information about what is involved, please make contact. Remember that to nominate for a role you need to be a current member of the Club and be over 18 years. Refer to details about nominating for a role in the nomination form.
